On Friday, April 5, the School of Engineering DEI Promotion Project and ALicE held the “School of Engineering New Student Female Exchange Party 2024,” which was attended by 73 new students, 21 faculty members, and 100 staff members in total.
After opening remarks by Professor Hiroo Yugami and Assistant Dean Naomi Kitagawa, Hirotsugu Takizawa, Director and Vice President (Education and Student Support), gave a welcome to the new students.
The program began with self-introductions by female faculty members, followed by a friendly get-together between faculty and students in groups by department, and then a social event where participants were divided into groups across departments to find others with similar interests and concerns.
Many people participated in the program. Thank you very much.
ALicE and the DEI Promotion Project will continue to hold exchange events for female students.
We look forward to your participation.
