Science Experience Program

We hold science experience programs in order to further their knowledge in various science fields. We also hold laboratory tours for female junior and senior high school students, where they can actually experience research in those fields.

Mini Forum for Female Junior and Senior High School Students

Mini forums are held at Open Campuses, where female faculty, professionally working graduates, and students give lectures and open dialogues. Meanwhile, round-table discussions (Q&A sessions) are held to facilitate deep talk. We encourage anyone interested to attend.

Visiting Lectures at Girls’ High Schools

We provide on-site lectures (also available online) at mainly girls’ high schools to give them a broad understanding of the appeal of engineering.
Faculty members speak about the latest topics in engineering, female students active at Tohoku University introduce their campus life, and ALicE introduces the Tohoku University School of Engineering and support for female students.

Starting from 2019, we are renewing the ALicE PR brochures as the ALicE Newsletter. It will provide information on creating a safe environment for women to work in Tohoku University’s engineering fields, showcasing the talents of female researchers, and promoting the attractions of the engineering field and ALicE activities.
