A “Consultation Corner for Female High School Students and Parents” was held at the “Tohoku University School of Engineering in Tokyo” (March 26, 2023).

As a special project of the Tohoku University Graduate School of Engineering DEI (Diversity Equity & Inclusion) Promotion Project and the Association of Leading Women Researchers in Engineering (ALicE), a “Consultation Corner for Female High School Students and Their Parents” was held at the “Tohoku University School of Engineering in Tokyo” on March 26, 2023.
About 50 people, including junior high and high school students and their parents, participated in this corner, some from far away as well as from the Tokyo metropolitan area.
For the first time, we set up a corner with alumni working for companies and introduced how to work after graduating from the School of Engineering. Not only female high school students, but also male high school students and their parents stopped by the booth and listened to the stories with great interest.
